Does anyone know how the ROCC liaison works? I would’ve guessed they had access to CAD data (given that they knew which radio channel to work on) but the issue seemed to be that they just didn’t realize that the fire department was sent to a different station than what they were looking at on the camera.

Thanks. Even though I work in this area, I have occasionally confused the two Metro stops when looking at real-time train schedules. I just see "Reston." Perhaps because similar confusion may have contributed to today's misdirection of rescue units, they should rename the Wiehle Reston East station just Wiehle station, and drop Reston East, especially since it's no longer the end of the line.

I hope the person who was being rescued pulls through OK.

Thanks for the heads up. It was a working CPR on the platform at Reston Town Center on Sunset Hills Rd. Interventions started by metro employees. There were several callers and FCFRD units were first sent to Wiehle-Reston East one stop to the east. Unfortunately, it took the ROCC a few minutes to confirm which metro stop it was, even though they had the scene on camera, so there was an extended ETA for the first fire crews.
