[Scan-DC] DC area NOAA stations "temporarily off the air"?

I wonder if perhaps the transmitter gets disconnected from the office
(most likely internet these days)  it switches to the audio loop you heard
as kind of a technical difficulties announcement.  As a tech,  I'd love it
because if I was called out for a problem, I could have some information
about the issue as soon as I turned on my receiver.....I'd know the
transmitter, antenna, power and controller were OK, and I could start by
calling my ISP.
