I think a lot of simulcast issues depend on where you are and yes the
SDS100/200 have better front ends to deal with multi-site towers, but again
Ft. Detrick is Phase 1 P25 while most PD/FD are Phase 2 and have more
towers and greater coverage. I can hear Leesburg PD and LCSO on P2 with a
GRE-900 which is really old school and oddball. Also think living in an
area surrounded by hi-rise buildings might be an issue. Something I don't
have here but in Bethesda or other more populated areas might be.
