Wow, a little touchy today. I think ANY adult knows that ANYWHERE in the US of A you're supposed to pull over and stop for lights and or siren. Naturally failing to do so takes the outcome and consequences out of that person's hands. My only point is that a more experienced person on the radio would have probably been able to deescalate the situation before it got as bad as it did, and while I don't know everything or pretend to know everything, I do say that from almost three decades of experience. But then again, based on this reply, I guess Virginia has never called off a chase, oh well, I digress.

It didn’t matter that the black Jeep was the “ victim “ in the hit and run. Under current VA law and the law when this incident happened ALL motorists are REQUIRED to stop for law enforcement when they see red or blue lights and hear the siren. There is nothing in the law that says whether you feel like it, don’t think you have done anything wrong, don’t like the police or you are to busy to stop now. Stopping and then driving off instead of complying with instructions can cause serious injury or death.
