[Scan-DC] On air scanner net for SCAN-DC

I am tuned up on 10 m simplex (29.6 MHz FM) if anyone wants to give it a go. I don’t know how well the antenna does on 10 m. This is the first attempt.

Even if you don’t have a tx or license for 10 m, perhaps I can get a signal report.

If anyone’s interested we can try 6 then 2 m next.

I just put up a new offset center fed dipole. I can try 10 m. Can also do 6, and 2 m with a vertical. 440 is doable but as noted in a previous thread I get some interference from the DoD’s frequency hopping system that consumes the whole band in this area. My best band seems to be 2 m.

If anyone’s interested we can give it a go on various bands later today.

10 meters is a wreck most of the time but a few of us could check to see if we could make the trip to Alex, FF, MC and such. Also would give newbies with HF rigs a chance to talk to someone. I do simplex as much as I can but rarely get outside Leesburg city limits.
