[Scan-DC] Greg Danes fixed my Whistler TRX-1

Earlier this month we received an e-mail on this list from Greg, KJ4DGE,
who was looking for scanners to repair and I happened to have a Whistler
TRX-1 that I wanted to get back on the air.  Years of antenna swapping had
broken the BNC connection inside the radio, and it looked like a job that
I'd probably screw up if I tried it myself.  Contacted Greg, who suggested
that yes, I probably could fix it myself but if I wanted to send it to him
to take a look at, he'd be glad to fix it for a reasonable price.

He had it fixed the day it arrived and it was back to my place just a few
days later.  Every step of the way I was getting e-mail updates.  If you
have a scanner that isn't working that you'd like to get back into service,
contact Greg with the details, his e-mail is on this list and his contact
info is good in QRZ.com.  He's not trying to be in the business of scanner
radio repair, just likes fixing things.
