[Scan-DC] Carry mag mount antenna in carry-on luggage?

This is getting a bit off topic but it is interesting . . .

My wife has an insulin pump and a small transmitter that measures her blood
sugar and relays it to the pump (via bluetooth). Both the pump and
transmitter are sensitive to being scanned, so when we fly she has to tell
the TSA people that she can't go through their scanners. Occasionally there
will be an agent who is familiar with medical devices who understands and
calls someone over with no question. Others have no clue and no patience
and try to tell her the machine won't do anything to harm her equipment. On
a rare occasion she will get a female TSA agent who understands the
situation, explains what has to be done, and is quick in the pat-down.
Others seem to think everyone knows exactly what to do without being told,
then yells when something isn't done the way she wants it. Training seems
to be minimal for these agents whou could be a little nicer to people in a
stressful situation.
