[Scan-DC] CPAPs

I’ve flown all over the world with a CPAP machine and have been asked only once to take it out of the case. Never had to turn it on. Didn’t happen in the US, not in China, Cambodia, Argentina, Canada, England, Ireland, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Italy, Russia nor in too many other countries to list. The one time was in Tahiti, catching the midnight flight back to LA. The inspector had no idea what it was. Never asked about my HT.
I’ve heard many TSA horror stories. Traveled with a friend whose carry on was torn apart because a nail clipper had somehow gotten into the lining and they couldn’t find it. Also have seen people in wheelchairs, small children and very old people frisked. There’s no rhyme nor reason to how the operate. It’s pretty much up to the agent on the line. Have been stopped a few times for a random frisk, but not problems.

I have never been stopped for that stuff, though I sometimes get stopped for caring a digital camera and they ask me to turn it on.
