Hi Alan,
I don't have any experience with that particular antenna. It looks like a random wire (aka longwire) antenna with a matching transformer to bring the impedance down to something closer to 50 ohms. It will probably work OK for stronger HF signals.
One issue with installing an antenna inside (even in the attic) is it will pick up more RFI from the dozens of devices in the house. Outside is best, but I understand there could be HOA issues with that. Another option, if you have some yard, is a Loop on Ground (LoG) antenna. Especially easy to do now in the winter, since lawn mowing season is over.
