*HOSTS CITIZENS EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS CONFERENCE *



*Landover, MD *– In recognition of September’s National Preparedness Month,
the Prince George’s County Office of Emergency Management will host a 2019
Emergency Preparedness Summit, themed *“Creating Resilient Communities,” *on
Saturday, September 28, 2019.  The event is free to the community and will
be held at Fairmont Heights, High School located at 6501 Columbia Park
Road, Landover, Maryland.



*“Creating Resilient Communities” *encourages individuals, families and
communities to prepare for emergencies and disasters before they
strike. Participants will engage in general preparedness discussions, take
part in workshops, and hear from professionals in the field of
Individual/Family/Pet Preparedness, Active Shooter, Course of Recovery,
Public Health Awareness, Mental Health & Substance Abuse Use Disorders,
Alert Notifications & Social Media, Volunteerism and much more. This Summit
will provide information and insight on how we, as a community, can ensure
our readiness in the event of an emergency.
