Ed:It appears, per RR Database,  that most talk groups are TDMA (Phase II or X) in which case you will need something to decode them.Uniden HP-2, SDS100/200, BCDx36HP, BCD325HP, BCD96HPWhistler TRX1/2 (PSR-800 if youca find one)

If you  are forced to spend big bucks, think about whether or not you might want to hear NXDN, DMR or ProVoice.

The whistler TRX models have DMR 7 NXDN included, no ProVoice future plans
Uniden has all 3 for an upgrade at $50 or $70 each, for some of their newer models, but not all of them.

I’ve had intermittent trouble receiving the OC/Worcester County trunked system over the past six months. Now an OC Facebook group is reporting that the change to 700 MHz was completed last weekend and everything on 800 MHz is gone.

Alan Henney, or anyone else, do you have more info and suggestions about what I now need to buy to replace my ancient Radio Shack Pro-96?
