If you want cheap, quick, and dirty, just use any old set of PC speakers.
You might find them at yard sales for $1 to $5, or you can buy low-end ones
at Amazon or Best Buy pretty cheaply. Just make sure that you get ones that
are powered by an AC adapter, or you will be changing batteries a lot. Some
newer ones are USB powered BUT also use the USB for input; unless they also
have a standard headphone/speaker phono jack input they won't do you much
good. If you want to use them for mobiles, then the BC7 might work, or you
can look for cheap PC speakers that use a 12VDC "wall wart".

Subject: [Scan-DC] External scanner speakers
What are your thoughts? Due to cost I was going to by the bc7 speakers for
multiple scanners. I recently purchased 4 base scanners. Bcd536, Whistler
1065, bct15x, and a 996p2. I am trying to move into more of a base scanner
setup. My apartment wont be too noisy of an environment. Well I guess until
I have the scanners going.
