A bill introduced in the Virginia General Assembly this year appears to be
directed at drones within one mile of a military airport.

HB 1636 Unmanned aircraft system; trespass, military airfield or military
helicopter landing zone, penalty.
Introduced by: Barry D. Knight | all patrons ... notes | add to my

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Trespass; unmanned aircraft system; military airfield or military helicopter
landing zone; penalty. Provides that any person who knowingly and
intentionally causes an unmanned aircraft system to enter the airspace
within one mile of the boundary of any military airfield or military
helicopter landing zone in the Commonwealth, for any reason, is guilty of a
Class 1 misdemeanor.
