I can answer my own question. The article ran in the Metro section, on page B1, below the fold.

There are currently 67 responses to the online article. That's not many; some articles (about politics, go figure) get several thousand. Typically, some of the commenters are people who have an opinion on everything, no matter how little they know about the subject at hand.

All publicity is good publicity, I have heard. Wait a minute....
