[Scan-DC] GRECOM PSR 800 Windows 10 Problem

Steve:
The driver installation to the PC has nothing to do with the radio, per se, so it cannot brick the scanner, nor will it delete your Whistler program.
download the Window 10 driver from Whistler's support site.  If it will not allow you to install it, follow instructions found on the web for installing unsigned drivers on Win10.  It takes 3 or 4 steps but is relatively simple.  Once the driver has been installed, start the  whistler program, connect the radio with the USB cable and try to reset the date and time from the program to the radio.  If it works, you are fine and can upload/download frequencies to and from the scanner.
I had to do this to continue using the program after I upgraded my Surface from Win 8 to 10.

I found that page earlier, but it requires me to delete the existing
program.  That means I would lose all the frequencies I manually entered.
I can't seem to find the file where that info is stored, so I won't do that
unless there is no other option, to include selling the scanner.
