Here is a trick I have used for over 25 years when trying to id cw id 
transmissions from any audio source.  I use an old SONY handheld 
portable cassette tape recorder.  I place the recorder powered on and in 
the record mode at normal speed close to the speaker..  Then I rewind 
the tape when finished or want to stop it..  Then I cheat. I play it 
back in the sloooooow playback speed option.  It's never failed me yet.  
I bet these fancy expense smartphones can't do that.
