[Scan-DC] Is this a reincarnation of the 39 MHz system we used to hear here?

 I remember those days back in the early 80s.   LA County would roll in with the skip around 9:30am in the morning.   You could monitor them for about few hours and you hear locations mentioned all over LA County.   They were using a duplex system, similar to what Virginia State Police were using before they switched over their STARS TRS.
