I have received great feedback about the meeting. I am thinking about making it a regular event. My schedule is usually better in the evenings because  I work midnight shifts. If you think monthly is good or bi-monthly before we get fully committed is better let me know. I liked the venue because mid week at that time the banquet room was completely empty.
The meetup took place at the Four Seasons family diner located at 5201 Jefferson Davis highway. We had a total of 6 in attendance out of 8 rsvps. Really not a bad number. The format was very informal. The majority is is lived within 10 miles of Fredericksburg with the exception of Charles county of I remember correctly. A round robin discussion was conducted as each attendee introduced themselves and talked briefly what got them started and what their scanner and or radio spectrum interests are. Each of us ate a dinner or cofee and dessert. We were limited to two hours because they do close at 9pm. Two of us had radios with us.  I would be open to a show and tell time if someone has something new they wish to share. Also if anyone has a topic to present we can do that also.
There was a question about programming a Whistler  trx1. I regret not having the answers. I have no experience with that model scanner. It maybe because of object oriented and control channels.
