[Scan-DC] Washington Post Radios

The College Park building was indeed a Washington Post printing plant. It
was shut down after just a few years of operation. The Univ. of Maryland
eventually got a deal on the property. We toured it years ago. It is a
huge warehouse with railroad track access. It is now supposedly partly used
by the facility that monitors the campus cameras and license plate readers.

Back in the day, the Post had several printing plants. Only Springfield
remains. Sad.

So we could use any usage reports for 855.7625 which is a low-power repeater
or even simplex, from 1301 K St NW and/or the Springfield plant. As I
recall, 860.1875 had been used previously during the last inauguration as a
back-up in case the phones failed. But I wonder if the radios still exist.

Thanks,
Alan
