This is an important message from the District of Columbia AlertDC system.

 

 




For situational awareness, on Sunday, Nov. 6, from 8:30am to 2:00pm, Metro Transit Police, Prince George’s County and the District of Columbia will conduct a full-scale emergency response exercise at Southern Avenue Metrorail station, (Green Line) at 1411 Southern Ave, Temple Hills, MD in Prince George’s County, MD. Southern Avenue Metrorail station will remain open. Green Line trains will operate in two segments from opening until approximately 2:00pm between Branch Avenue and Congress Heights and between Greenbelt and Congress Heights. Customers will need to transfer at Congress Heights to continue their trip. Metro will notify customers when normal operations resume via email, text message and social media. Regular route Metrobus service will operate normally.
