What a bag of worms... It might make for a great article in your newsletter.

I can tell you first hand that none of this stuff affects the radios on the plane.  I’ve never run one while shooting an ILS approach, but I would assume there would not be a problem.  I’ve run 2 meter and UHF handhelds in the cockpit for years without ever encountering a problem, both transmit and receive.  (Don’t quote me by name... but you are welcome to the information.)

If I were to listen to ATC on a plane, I’d probably do it thru the laptop and some of these rebroadcast sites such as atclive.com  I would also follow the flight on the computer using www.flightradar24.com

I passed the edited earlier message along to others in the airline industry and they all said they had never heard of such a thing.  My personal out look would be... if you can get it on the plane, just keep it out of sight and use it in climb and cruise, but not in the lower levels of decent.  Start dealing with women flight attendants and you are asking for problems.  It relates to too much estrogen... (smile...)
