I live at The Woods, a community about 8 miles west of Hedgesville, WV
in Berkeley County.  Our HOA has made complaints about frequent low
level flights over our community during nighttime hours.  The flights
seem to take about a 20 or 40 minute cycle.  We first thought it was out
of KMRB, but found out they are from Pax River.  I will be listening to
milair freqs and I thought others might be interested.  Here is the
latest communication from Pax:

Naval Air Station Patuxent River sets noise advisory for January 6 to
February 20

NAVAL AIR STATION PATUXENT RIVER, Md. - Residents of The Woods community
are advised that two to three nighttime flights per week are scheduled
to take place in your vicinity Jan. 6 to Feb. 20. Weekend flights are
not planned, however, Fridays may be used as a backup date.

In an effort to lessen the disturbance of these missions, we have
instructed our pilots to fly the lowest altitude portion of their
flights prior to midnight, when possible.

These missions are crucial to our national security.

Keep in mind that there are a multitude of factors that could shift the
scheduling and execution of these flights, which are always conducted in
accordance with Federal Aviation Administration and Navy regulations.

NAS Patuxent River appreciates your understanding and will continue to
take precautions to lessen the impact of flight operations on the
community.  For more information call 1-866-819-9028.

Respectfully,
Connie Hempel
NAS Patuxent River Public Affairs
