[Scan-DC] Fighter escort over NoVa this evening?

While at my kids soccer practice this evening was surprised to see a single fighter escorting a passenger jet. I saw them too tlate to identify them. The fighter apppeared to be a split tail, the pax jet similar in size to a 737 but couldn't see the paint job.  Flight path was southeast from fairoaks mall towards Quantico well out of any normal local airport routes.

Anyone catch this over flight?
