Agreed Blair, but I think "AnyTone" (https://anytonetech.com/ and
http://www.wouxun.us/category.php?category_id=64) has taken advantage of
Baofeng's constant production of radios with the same old feature set.
When you look at the AnyTone, you tend to first say just another Chinese
Baofeng or Wouxun... BUT... the AnyTone continues where Baofeng stopped...
some models have TRUE dual receive (not just dual watch) and repeater
capability. You can also add and delete scan channels through the keypad
so no longer "outta luck" if you want to change scan in the field, and oh
yea, the scan is MUCH faster! Not a scanner, but much faster than a
Baofeng. They cost a little more, but that's what you're getting to "one
up" the Baofeng.
