Hi folks,

I had gotten quite busy with work and some personal issues and essentially
had dropped off the map on the Zello App that was active in the past. With
some free time this week (on bed rest for medical reasons) I have gone
ahead and updated the channel as well as approved some users that had
joined but were not "trusted" yet.

The password was updated to "scandc2015" without the quotes. This was
changed from the original 2013 password. The password helps to keep the
spammers that are on the other channels within the app from coming over to
this and making it "unprofessional"

For those that were not following - Zello is a PTT walkie-talkie style app.
When I created the channel inspired by the Scan DC list it was intended to
provide a more personal/real-time public safety type communications method
for scanner enthusiasts and other users.

I will be making some updates to the channel to try to make it active again
as I have started regularly monitoring my scanners again. Seems like with
the heat of summer coming in there's a lot more interesting calls coming
out over the talkgroups I monitor in Montgomery County. Feel free to join!

(PC, iOS and Android apps available)

The channel details are below -

Name: National Capital Region Public Safety
Link: http://zello.me/k/MjsP
Password: scandc2015

You will need to have a verified email to participate on the channel.

It looks like the Virginia Fire Network channel that was active for a while
was deleted by the creator.

So anyway, just a heads up that I will be back to making an effort to
actually share information on there. There are a lot of customization
options on the app as well (Ex: set to busy when on silent mode etc). Also,
messages received when you are in silent mode can be listened to later and
you can even save transmissions within the app.

Best regards,
Kenny Lorber
