​The RS store in the New River Valley Mall in Christiansburg was pretty
barren last Saturday, with decent discounts but nothing really worth
buying. It seems like Phillip is right about moving stock. I'll bet that
anything good left after Christmas was packed up and moved to stores that
are remaining open (the Blacksburg store isn't on the closing list),
leaving inventory that wasn't moving anyway in hopes that it could be
liquidated at a discount, before unloading it for pennies on the dollar to
places like Big Lots and Ollie's.
