[Scan-DC] PG county police D and E sector seems to be switching from the D sector talk group to the E sector talk group and back and forth.

So, basically, if I don't hear it on one, listen to the other is the work
around for this? Fun times...

What you are hearing is a Uniden problem... Uniden products don't handle
patches properly. When two or more channels (talkgroups) on a trunked
system are patched, Uniden products will only catch the channel initiating
the patch instead of all patched channels. GRE has always handled patches
properly catching transmissions on any of the channels involved in the
patch, but not Uniden. I see the same thing on my end of the county
listening to John and King sectors. We've complained about this to Uniden
for years, but for now my guess is that it's not important to them.

I monitor D and E sector on the pg county digital system as I live in bowie
and work in D sector. I have noticed that dispatch for both sectors seem to
switch from what is listed as the D sector talk group to the E sector talk
group and back again depending on the day. My understanding was that they
patch sometimes but as I listen now on the D sector talk group which is
dispatching for E sector as well and then if I switch to the E sector talk
group there is nothing heard. What is going on? Thanks for any help.
