[Scan-DC] Skywarn Class - Winter Weather

There are already 20+ people signed up! Also in the plans for this year are
two Basic 1 classes, Tropical / Flood (these two courses have been combined
into one) and another Winter Storm. Thanks!

 

Prince George's Office of Emergency Management and Prince George's County
REACT are sponsoring a Skywarn Class on Winter Storms to be conducted by the
National Weather Service, Skywarn Program. The class is Thursday, 29 January
2015 from 18:30 to approximately 20:30 and is being held at the Prince
George's Fire Services Building in Lanham, MD. To register:

NWS / Skywarn Description:

Training in the Winter Storm class is a good overview of winter weather
threads in this area. It is intended for everyone. The Winter Storm class
includes:

*	Winter hazards in THIS region
*	Winter preparation and safety
*	Winter normal and Extremes
*	What makes winter storms
*	NWS forecasts and products
*	Role of Skywarn and reporting
