While we are on the subject. Does anyone have any idea how much power
166.925 dispatch runs? The reason I ask is I am now down to my HTX-200 HT
and a SDR dongle running SDR#. I can get them on the dummy load antenna the
HTX has no problem outside. I have a second floor dual-band antenna running
to the dongle and I hear the noise and really down in the mud signal. NOAA
WX is no problem on 162.550 but they run like 500 watts so I figure they
would come in OK. The SDR# yahoo group is not that big a help
unfortunately. Maybe the house is blocking the signal? Can't receive them
inside on the HTX either so I guess that answers most of the question.
