STATE POLICE TO MARK FULL-SERVICE MISSION OPERATION 
OF NEW AW-139 HELICOPTER IN WESTERN MD

(CUMBERLAND, MD) -- Maryland State Police Superintendent Colonel Marcus L. Brown will join Delegate Kevin Kelly, Acting Co-Executive Director Patricia Gainer, of the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services System, and other state and local officials at the Aviation Command Cumberland Section to officially mark the commencement of full-service mission operation of the new Agusta Westland AW 139 helicopter in Western Maryland.  The pilots and flight paramedics who staff “Trooper 5” at the Cumberland Section have now been fully trained on the new aircraft.  They have begun flying the new helicopter around the clock on all Aviation Command missions.
