[Scan-DC] Close-Call Hit (who is this?)

146.48 is designated as a simplex frequency on the 2m band plan. Also, I
don’t hear any squelch tail or timeout beep after each transmission. So, as
someone already suggested, I think these were two nearby motorists using 2m
rigs to talk, vehicle to vehicle, on simplex. The might be hams or they
might not. Could be truckers who discovered that 2m simplex is much better
than CB and just went out and bought 2m rigs.

I had a close call hit a couple weeks ago on 146.48 while traveling.
But these folks don’t sound like hams.
Any idea what language they speak and what they’re saying?

It’s only the first few seconds (never heard any more but left the recorder
running).
Thanks,
Alan
