You have to consider who is more important, cops who ENFORCE LAWS or the
folks who try to coordinate saving lives and helping people through
disasters. Unfortunately, the shooters tend to get the lion's share because
they have the guns and the other guys don't.

FWIW I am not a cop hater. I just understand the reality of how things work. 
I was in Arlington when they got their command bus in 1989/90. The cops took 
over almost the entire bus including the driver's seat. IIRC, the AFD and 
Arlington Co's EMA got a chair to share in the back next to the fax machine. 
The cops setting it up thought it was very funny.

Rumor has it, and its only a rumor, the LE side has totally dominated this
vehicle and there is no space or want for Emergency Management.

You know, encrypted LE radios and all.
