[Scan-DC] Attic Antennas?

I have an almost new MFJ discone
I'll sell. I put it together, tried it
indoors, and packed it back up.
I'm in a no receive site location
so I don't bother with 2 meters.

MFJ-1866 $38 It's in the packaging it came in
Receipt from VIS on 04/06/13 at Timonium.

Hi Sean,

Have you considered a discone. I used one in a previous home to improve 
my FM reception on my stereo. It also did very well with my scanner.

Hi all,

Anyone on this list have any experience and willing to help me install an
attic antenna in my townhouse for VHF?  I have an ICOM 208H mobile
transceiver that I'd like to install in my study to listen to railroad
frequencies, and I'd like to put an antenna in the attic to improve its
reception, and possibly stream it online in the future.

I've got very little experience with this sort of thing, so I'm looking to
see if anyone out there might be willing to volunteer some time.
