[Scan-DC] Scanner encryption: Protecting police or skirtingpublic records laws?

I share your frustration. At least I'd like to see Broadcastify adopt an
opt-out option for law enforcement agencies that do not want to be broadcast
on the Internet.
At one time RadioReference allowed military agencies to decline to have
talkgroups and freqs appear on the RR website.
The irony is that this website which has helped build the hobby in recent
years could also be blamed for encouraging encryption. I think my next
radio will be a 10/11/12-meter rig. At least we can still monitor that
band?

Personally, I think online scanning and scanner apps should be banned.
If you want to listen, buy a scanner. I'd hate to have my investment in
scanners to become obsolete because of dummies.
