On Tuesday, March 18, 2014, the National Capital Region (NCR) is hosting a
full-scale exercise to test the capabilities of area hospitals in a critical
care medical surge event. Fifteen Maryland hospitals will be participating
in a mock-casualty incident resulting from a terrorist attack to exercise
their capacity to care for critically injured patients.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Volunteers are needed to play victims in the exercise. Victims will be asked
to act as if they were injured and may be applied with moulage (application
of mock injuries using make-up and latex). Victims will be provided
information regarding their ailments in advance so that response and
treatment efforts can be as realistic as possible.
Volunteers will be asked to arrive directly to the participating hospital.
