[Scan-DC] DC Fire responding to something near the Mall

As my commuter bus prepared to make the left turn that would take it past the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad ticket office (across Sixth Street from the Newseum), DC Rescue 1 went by in the opposite direction. I saw three engines, responding from different companies, and a supervisor, and a ladder truck go off in its direction as well. Although I could see clouds vaguely in that direction, they were probably coming from heating grates or heat exchangers on the tops of buildings. Time: 8:35 a.m.

Maybe it was something, or maybe not. As for me, it was off to Canada. (I cut across the grounds of the Canadian Embassy on the way to work.)
