[Scan-DC] Radio Shack--heads up

IMNSHO Radio Shack died when they stopped carrying real antennas and co-ax 
(my local did ten years ago.) Having CB/GMRS/FRN/a few marine and HAM radios 
is not a "Radio Shack"! They devote 90% of their floor space to cell phones 
and accessories, TV and satellite entertainment centers.

I'm another who misses Lafayette Electronics. Wasn't it 1975 when the Wilsom 
Blvd/Falls Church shop went away? I wore a black arm-band when EEB went 
belly up. It is getting harder and harder to find brick and block shops that 
cater to two-way and scanner folks.

As much as I like the savings on e-bay and such, having someone who knows 
their stuff to expain something to me is worth a few extra dollars.
