[Scan-DC] memory cards and various cells at the Walgreens

After leaving work, I went to the Walgreens in downtown DC. It's directly across H Street from the north escalators of the Gallery Place Metro stop. It is at the Friendship Arch in Chinatown . Seriously, take a left walking out the door, and you'll run smack into the arch.

They were out of D-cells, which go fast. I got two 4-packs of the 9-volt batteries. Yay; my RCA WV-500B solid-state Voltohmyst runs again.

I need to write that guy, as I have a manual.

I recommend that Walgreens. Although the checkout line was long, the staff was working at a fast pace and moved everyone right along.

Bonus: there's a replica of the interior mural of the Capitol dome up on the third floor. There's no need to bother going through security to see the one on Capitol Hill.

....
Walgreens has multiple-packs of Walgreens brand cells in AA and AAA (16 per pack), 9 volt (4 per pack), and C and D (8 per pack) sizes priced at two packs for $10 through tomorrow. ... My RCA VoltOhmyst uses three 9-volt batteries at a time, so some of those would be nice to have.
