[Scan-DC] WIFI resources in D.C. ???

Guess it depends on the use. If I were setting up a Wi-Fi for local use in
my home of office I'd go with the Omni. We use Cisco products at Holy Cross
for Wi-Fi networks (I think there are three networks - one for EMR, one for
the VOIP and one for GuestNet) and they tell me the antenna are
omnidirectional. I have a CISCO Wi-Fi repeater at home but I'm not using it.
I'm beginning to have an interest in ATV (Amateur TV) and MESH networks
which are directional. I've ordered a couple of routers and plan on building
the antennas. Think I have everything else.
Anyone else here working with MESH?

High power and omnidirectional don't go together.
You can either have a high EIRP with a directional antenna, or a 1 watt
output power with an onmi.
