The Davidsonville Transmitter Site is an 900+ acre geographically  
separated unit. The site is responsible for projects affecting 27   high
 frequency/high powered transmitters, 30 antennas of various   types, 
two digital microwave systems, a backup power plant,
 patch  and test facility, a dining facility, and  a dormitory. The Site
 provides high frequency transmitter support  to various civilian and 
military communications systems in the National Capital Region, Andrews 
AFB, and deployed military units worldwide. It provides voice and data 
transmit capability for five   distinct communications systems including
 the Mystic Star Network supporting Presidential and VIP communications,
 Scope Command's Global Command and Control Communications System, 
Telecommunications System of the  American Air Forces, the Defense 
Information Systems Agency HF Entry Network, and the new Scope Command 
System.
