[Scan-DC] Dcfd roster

For some reason I was under the impression that 52 is NSA Bethesda (the "new" Walter Reed Military Medical Center).

From what I remember whichever station # that was at the Naval Surface Warfare Center at Carderock has been 10-7 for some time now, so whatever facility still active on that site is probably now served as first due by Cabin John VFD (either Montgomery stations 10 or 30).

Both NIH and NSA Bethesda run an EMS transport unit (I've heard them dispatched both as an ambulance and a medic unit) as well as an engine but NIH has either a truck or tower (I can never remember) while NSA Bethesda does not.

The station at what was called the "Walter Reed Annex" is still there but I think the facility is now called the "Forest Glen something-or-other," since when I've seen its beautifully shiny engine roaming about it bears some markings for "Forest Glen" but if I remember right also still bears some markings for Fort Detrick, which makes me wonder if whatever station was at that facility is now 10-7 and its apparatus transferred to the "Annex."

Of course there is always the chance that I am horribly wrong about all this.

That fire house is fairly new, not sure what the plans are for that Annex since the main Walter Reed in DC is now closed (or closing, I don't know if the property is now vacant) as part of BRAC (Barak) :( .

NIH and the navy hospital (or whatever it's called now) are basically opposite each other... navy hospital and US uniformed health services are between Connecticut and Wisconsin Avenues inside the beltway, and NIH is between Wisconsin Avenue and Old Georgetown Road.
