[Scan-DC] Train traffic

The HTX-200 suffers from pagers breaking through at 161.55 MHz. While I up there, one of VRE's mid-day southbound trains, VRE 301, called a clear signal at Virginia. Once past L'Enfant, he kept getting clear signals at least as far south as RO. I left after that. I probably should have stayed to see how far south he could get and I would still be able to hear him.
The default scanner I take to work every now and then is a Uniden Sportcat SC180B. It can hear trains at Slater's Lane, near the Braddock Road metro station in Alexandria.

As an analog scanner, it can hear trains, planes, DC Fire-EMS, U.S. Capitol Hill police, Park Police, and bus drivers using business band frequencies. Reception inside the steel-frame building is as good as you think it is.
What did I not see in the ten minutes I was on the roof? Any planes coming to or going from KDCA. Maybe the embargo is still on.

....
Now that I am at lunch, I can spend more time up on the roof. I'll take my radio too. I think I'll do that right now.
