[Scan-DC] Tipton Airfield Construction

I just was made aware (via an invitation to a briefing) that Tipton 
Airfield (KFME) at Ft. Meade is going to get an extension, new aprons 
and hangars. The extension is for another 1200 feet beyond the 3000 foot 
current 10/28 runway. Of course, this leads to all kinds of questions 
about the future use of this airfield. To date, I have not heard of any 
state or fed units planning to move there but that would seem to be the 
plan. Guess time will tell.
