Organized by the Delegation of the European Union to the United States and the SESAR Joint Undertaking, this one-day conference will showcase the EU's progress towards a modernized air traffic management system.  It will bring together American and European government and industry leaders for an in-depth discussion addressing the themes of priorities, cooperation and collaboration, and interoperability as Europe and the U.S. move forward with SESAR and NextGen respectively.

The event will feature senior EU, U.S., and ICAO officials, including EU Ambassador to the United States, João Vale de Almeida; FAA Administrator Michael Huerta; SESAR JU Executive Director Patrick Ky; Head of Cabinet of the ICAO Secretary General Daniel Azema; President of the RTCA Margaret Jenny; European Commission Head of Unit for Single European Sky Maurizio Castelletti; and senior representatives from European and U.S. stakeholders, including Airbus, Boeing, Thales, Honeywell, Indra and Lockheed Martin, airspace users and air traffic controllers.

The conference is part of the EU Delegation's EU Rendez-Vous series, which strengthens the enduring relationship between the United States, the European Union, and the EU's Member States through candid and vibrant debates about the critical issues facing the transatlantic relationship today.
