[Scan-DC] Topic drift on RF interference

I've got amalgam fillings and guess my dentist(s) did something right.

I work around transmitters of a slightly higher power range and I've never
had any issue with RF pickup. Obviously, YMMV.

One area where we have had some issues with RF "interference" is at
a location or two where neighbors had operating cranes. At one location
where we had a 1000kW MW transmitter, the port folks about a mile away
would occasionally complain about arcing when they didn't properly ground
their lift equipment.

We've got exclusively metal studs in our transmitter buildings, and they are
bonded to the building ground when around the transmitters, but nothing
unique in the office areas.

Granville (Granny) Klink (no kidding), who was the Chief Engineer for years at WTOP, told great stories how the signal was recieved by everything from braces and filings to the metal studs used in the construction of some nearby buildings.
