I had the pleasure of working with Granny. I loved that he kept a Morse
code paddle and keyer on his desk, with which he occasionally played.
Granny was just one of several hams (Dave Garner, Art Rose, Steve Thompson,
me) who worked there at the time.

Granville (Granny) Klink (no kidding), who was the Chief Engineer for years
at WTOP, told great stories how the signal was recieved by everything from
braces and filings to the metal studs used in the construction of some
nearby buildings.
