MEDIA ADVISORY: Coast Guard, state, local agencies to conduct maritime
emergency response exercise near Annapolis, Md.

BALTIMORE — The Coast Guard along with state and local responders are
scheduled to conduct a maritime emergency response exercise Wednesday, from
10 a.m. to noon, on the Severn River near Annapolis.

Personnel from Coast Guard Sector Baltimore, Maryland Natural Resources
Police, Anne Arundel County Fire Department Marine Operations Unit, Anne
Arundel County EMS, Annapolis City Fire Department, Kent Island Volunteer
Fire Department and the Coast Guard Auxiliary are scheduled to participate.

The exercise will allow inter-agency training during the emergency response
of a simulated 64-foot cruise boat in distress.

During the exercise, a safety zone will be established around the simulated
distress vessel while crews respond.

I would assume there would be activity on the Anne Arundel County System,
DNR Frequencies, CMARC, FiRST, and the USCG Channels.

There was some test patches being done on the Anne Arundel County system
with the USCG earlier.
