[Scan-DC] speakers for Grundig G3

So, why not wire up a wall wart with two power cords on the DC side - one to power the Grundig, and one to power the speakers? Powered computer speakers seem to favor 9 VDC and 12 VDC. I'm not sure what the G3 runs on. You would have one wart, which you already need for the radio alone. I dislike those things too.
