Pat was doing a live winter snow driving spot at Fairfax Blvd and Chain
Bridge Road in the City of Fairfax. I fishtailed into his live shot on
camera in my car coming nb on rt 123 down the hill.

Larry Krebs.they don't make 'em like that anymore!

When I first came to DC in 1973, working for WASH Radio, I covered a
multi-alarm fire on W Street, off 16th NW in the pouring rain. A small guy,
wearing a DCFD Photographer helmet, came up to me, introduced himself, and
brought me over to the Fire Chief to do an interview. He was the
competition and he was helping me get an interview! Larry felt if I was out
there, at night in the rain, the least he could do was give me a hand.

That was how I met Larry and I'll never forget it, or him.
