[Scan-DC] Power distribution

OK, Scan-DCers, I need you to put on your thinking caps and give me some ideas.  The desk in my man cave is a jumble of computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, modem, router, printer, computer speakers, phone, clock, lamps, associated & assorted cables, shortwave radio, various scanners (radios), external speakers for those, outlets strips, and last but not least, those miserable power supply "bricks" for all the various and sundry crap above (picture follows).  I'm fed up with the mess, and the thing that bothers me the most is the three, count 'em, three, outlet strips that are necessary to operate this conglomeration.  I think the place to start is to come up with a reasonable solution to the power distribution and get it off the desk.  Of course, the damnable bricks make it necessary to have three outlet strips when one or two would otherwise suffice, since they take up two or three outlets' worth (I yearn for the days when the equipment was a little
bigger and the power supplies were built in!).

I was thinking about mounting the outlet strips to a board and then mounting the board on the wall, then I thought about getting some wiremold, etc. etc.  In fact, since I already have the outlet strips and a hunk of 1x12, I'm going to expend a little effort on that this weekend.  But, it also occured to me to ask the folks here for any thoughts or ideas; I wondered if anyone else is plagued by a similar situation.  Any thoughts and ideas are welcome... anything is better than what I have, which is a fire hazard at best.

Thanks!

Doug
